2 Chronicles 7:14 KJV “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
The 4th of July celebrates freedom and independence in the United States, but for believers in Jesus Christ, it also serves as a reminder of a greater freedom—the spiritual liberty we receive through Him. Just as the founding fathers fought to break free from tyranny, Jesus died on the cross to set us free from the bondage of sin and death.
Galatians 5:1 (KJV) says, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” On this day of national celebration, Christians can rejoice not only in the blessings of earthly freedom but in the eternal freedom that comes from knowing and following Jesus, the true Prince of Peace and Deliverer
