“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” —Luke 23:34 (KJV)
Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” —John 14:6 (KJV)
Dear Truth Seekers,
As we prepare to honor Juneteenth tomorrow, a day marking the delayed freedom of enslaved African Americans, let us pause and reflect on a deeper, eternal freedom—the one Jesus Christ gave to all humanity, and the lineage of Jesus Christ. Let’s talk about it.

Contrary to centuries of Western art, Jesus did not look like the portraits hanging in many cathedrals. He was not European. He was a Galilean Jew, born in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth, and descended from King David—just like Joseph and Mary.
He lived among Semitic people of the ancient Middle East, likely with brown skin, dark eyes, and textured hair. His roots trace through Abraham and David, through a people who knew suffering, exile, and oppression.
Jesus chose the form of a servant. He died as the lowest in society—crucified like a slave, mocked and rejected. Yet His words on the cross echo through eternity:
“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” —Luke 23:34 (KJV)
Even in pain, Jesus offered forgiveness. Even in death, He opened the door to freedom—not just from systems of man, but from the power of sin and death.
Let’s visit briefly the linage of Jesus Christ.
💕💕💕Where It All Began: Africa and the Fertile Crescent
Adam and Eve were placed in Eden, near the lands of Cush (Ethiopia) and the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers—modern Northeast Africa and the Middle East. This cradle of civilization birthed the earliest humans, and even secular science supports that all human life traces back to Africa.
✅ Summary: What Did First-Century Galilean Jews Look Like?
Ethnically Semitic
Brown skin, dark hair, dark eyes
Culturally Jewish, linguistically Aramaic-speaking
Not white Europeans—but Middle Eastern/African rooted
This includes Joseph, Mary, Jesus, and even David in terms of ancestral lineage and appearance. Jesus was a man of color, born to humble Jewish parents, in a land rooted in both African and Semitic heritage.
✝️ True Freedom Is Spiritual
“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” —John 6:63 (KJV)
Salvation is not skin deep. It is not found in race, culture, or status. It is the Spirit that gives life. That same Spirit still speaks:
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” —John 10:27 (KJV)
We may not hear an audible voice, but we are guided by His Spirit, His truth, and His Word. To follow Jesus is to live holy, walk in love, and pursue righteousness—not division.
🕊️ Worship Like the Enslaved Did: In Spirit and Truth
Even during slavery, Black men and women gathered in secret to worship. Sometimes it was in hush arbors, brush churches, or behind plantation kitchens. They prayed softly into barrels and cloth to muffle their praises. With broken bodies, they lifted holy hands. They believed in a God who heard, saw, and would one day deliver them.
They sang songs of hope—“Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “Wade in the Water,”—coded messages of faith and escape. But more than escape, they sought eternal freedom.
Jesus said,
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.” —John 4:23 (KJV)
🤍 Racism Is a Weapon of Satan
Let us not be fooled: racism is not just a social issue—it is a spiritual weapon. Satan uses racism to divide, conquer, and destroy the unity of God’s people. But Jesus came to break down walls between nations, races, and tribes.
We are one body in Christ. And we will all be judged by how we treat one another:
“For the Lord shall judge his people.” —Hebrews 10:30 (KJV)
“And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” —Matthew 22:39 (KJV)
🌍 Rulers Must Rule by God’s Law
Leaders, whether pastors or presidents, kings or counselors—must be led by wise counsel sent by God. Too often, nations make decisions based on fear, pride, or self-interest. But if rulers don’t walk with God, the people will suffer.
“There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord.” —Proverbs 21:30 (KJV)
God always sends watchmen and prophets. But will the rulers listen?
➕ There Is No Other Way
Jesus is not one of many roads—He is the only road to eternal life.
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” —John 14:6 (KJV)
To move forward as a people, a nation, and a church, we must walk in truth, forgiveness, and love. We must refuse to go backward into hatred, deception, or fear.
❤️❤️❤️💬 Reflection Question: Are you being led by God’s Spirit—or by your own understanding?

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
