Scripture Focus: Proverbs 6:10-11 KJV – “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth…”
Colossians 3:23 KJV – “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”
Do you ever say, “I’ll start tomorrow”?
Sometimes we delay what God has called us to do. We say we’ll read our Bible tomorrow, apply for that job next week, or start that ministry later. But every time we delay, we drift.
Proverbs 14:23 KJV “In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.”

Bible Story Example:
In Matthew 25:1–13 (KJV), Jesus shares the parable of the ten virgins. Five of them were wise—they brought extra oil for their lamps and were prepared when the bridegroom arrived. The other five were foolish. They didn’t bring enough oil and had to leave to get more. While they were gone, the bridegroom came.
The wise virgins went in with him, and the door was shut. When the foolish virgins returned, it was too late. The door was closed, and they were left behind.
The lesson? Don’t wait until the last minute—be ready so you don’t have to get ready.
Real World Example:
James felt led to write a Christian children’s book. But he kept putting it off. Years passed. One day, his niece asked why he never finished the story about Jesus she loved. That
hit hard. He finally sat down and wrote it—and it now blesses kids in Sunday schools across his city.
Takeaway Thought:Procrastination steals purpose—start small and God will bless the rest.
Reflection Question: What has God told you to start that you keep putting off?

A CALL TO SALVATION:

Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
