The Doctor Will See You Now—Spiritually and Physically – No Charge.

📖 Who Wrote It and Why It Matters

Luke was a real medical doctor. The kind who loved truth, facts, and people. He interviewed eyewitnesses like Mary, Peter, and Paul’s crew, writing down everything so you’d know this story wasn’t made up. It was carefully researched and Spirit-led.

Date Written: Around A.D. 60–61
Main Point: Jesus came to heal, not just sickness, but hearts, communities, and our connection with God.

“To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins.” – Luke 1:77 (KJV)

🩺 Bible Story: Jesus Heals the Ten Lepers (Luke 17:11–19)

Imagine having a disease that made everyone run away from you—even your dog. That’s what life was like for ten men with leprosy. They saw Jesus coming and shouted from far off: “Jesus, Master, have mercy!”

He didn’t run. He didn’t hide. He healed them. But only one came back to say thank you.

Jesus noticed. And He still notices when people are thankful or not thankful today.

Moral of the story? Jesus heals us, but don’t forget to thank the Healer.

🌍 Real-World Example:

A woman battling anxiety began praying daily and attending Bible study. Her doctor noticed her blood pressure improved. When asked what changed, she said, “I gave my problems to Jesus.” Science shows stress affects your body—but Jesus helps lift the load.

🧠 Science Corner:

A Harvard study found that people who forgive live longer, sleep better, and have lower blood pressure. Another study from Mayo Clinic belief in a higher power results with quicker recovery after surgery or trauma.

Dr. Luke might’ve said, “Jesus heals what medicine can’t reach.”

😂 Humor Break:

Luke’s Gospel is like getting a holy check-up. He checks your heart, your relationships, your soul—and still gives you a lollipop of grace on your way out. 🩺🍬

✝️ Why This Matters Before Good Friday

Before Jesus went to the cross, He walked through towns healing the hurting. His journey to the cross wasn’t just about dying—it was about restoring what was broken. Luke helps us see that the cross is the greatest act of healing the world has ever known.

💭 Reflection Question:

What area of your life—heart, health, relationships—needs Jesus the Healer today?

A CALL TO SALVATION:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
