Why Raising Children Without God Creates Lifelong Wounds. Proverbs 22:6 KJV — “Train up a child in the way he should go…”
1 Samuel 2:2 KJV “There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.”
Deuteronomy 11: 18-21 KJV “And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: 18Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. 19And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 20And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: 21That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth. ”

Bible Story:
Eli’s sons (1 Samuel 2 KJV). Lack of correction led to destruction.
Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were priests, but they were corrupt. They abused their priestly roles by stealing offerings and living in sin. Although Eli knew about their behavior, he did not correct them firmly.
Because of this lack of discipline, God judged Eli’s household. Eli’s sons died in battle, and his family line lost the priesthood. The story shows that failure to correct wrongdoing leads to destruction, and leaders are held responsible for what they allow.
Real-World Example:
Children raised without boundaries struggle with authority, anger, and identity. In instructional design there is a teaching formula that is easy to remember for parents to motivate and train their children.
Movtivation +confidence = Behavior. Give your child easy wins sometimes with words of encouragement. This motivates a child to challenge themselves. Behavior is changed by consequences.
Children change behavior just thinking about consequences. Taking away their phone for a limited time, or telling them to stand in a corner for a few minutes facing the wall really affects them because small children are separate from you. Older kids miss their toys.
You dont have to resort to corporate punishment because many parents do not know their strength. Spanking toddlers can cause bodily harm to the child. Control your anger and take deep breathes. Learn discipline technqiues that work. You win and your kids win and the family win.
Psychiatric Insight:
Poor parenting increases risk of addiction and behavior disorders by up to 50%. Ephesians 6:4 KJV “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Children think the world of their parents so they learn more by example than words.
Watch what you do in front of them as well as family and friends. Be selective about the music you play. If there are inappropriate child words in them, buy clean versions of adult songs or wear headphones when listening to non child age music whem they are in listening distance.
Truth:
God’s guidance protects children’s minds. If you home school your kids, dont forget to pray with them. If yuo do not home school, pray with them before school or the night before . Text them a prayer or call them and pray with them over the phone. Always pray over dinner together, if possible. You are teaching them to pray and that it is important.
Children don’t tell their parents everything so teach them that can tell you and to tell God. He answers prayers. Create a daily schedule. It may seem hard at first but after a week or two your routine will be easy, a few minutes a day saying the Lord’s Prayer can change their lives and family dynamatics.

Reflection Question:
Am I teaching God’s ways at home by example and reading the bible? Do I pray with my child before they go to school each day so they are protected by God? Do I explain my childs up and down with scripture so they will know how to handle things according to the will of God. Do I take my child to church to worship and glorfy god and introduce him or her to other children of God?
Action Step:
Pray over your children today as well as with them. If your child is a toddler, just teach them “Thank you Jesus”. Teach them gratitude and Jesus is their friend as well as the Son of God who shed his blood for forgivness of sins. Jesus is love, Jesus is God and Jesus is his or her friend.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-109That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-65Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
