Hello Believers and Truth Seekers,

Last Sunday evening, I watched a movie : The Forge on Netflix. I loved it.

I decided to share my take on it as many of you know,I love to review great movies.

This movie carries a clear message: anger and rejection can hide in plain sight—but healing comes through alignment with the Holy Spirit.

After graduating from high school without any plans for the future, Isaiah receives a push to start making better life decisions.

It is a PG Christian movie demonstrating transformation without too much religion or culture influence. A rare find.

The film stars Cameron Arnett as Joshua Moore, a mentor and business owner, and Priscilla Shirer as Cynthia Wright, a praying mother.

Her son, Isaiah (played by Aspen Kennedy), is a 19-year-old with no direction. He is angry, disrespectful, and lost.

Isaiah refuses responsibility, ignores his mother, and has no desire to know God.

Yet, what we see is deeper than behavior. It is hidden rejection smothered by anger.  Let’s talk about it.

Anger and Rejection: The Hidden Root

Anger does not always look loud. Sometimes it shows up as:

Avoiding responsibility
Disrespect toward authority
Laziness or lack of purpose
Isolation or pride
Quick reactions and emotional outbursts
Blaming others instead of growing

Rejection can come from broken homes, loss, or unmet expectations. Isaiah’s father left, and that wound shaped his identity.

Many people carry this silently. They may not even know it is affecting their choices.

The Turning Point: Identity in God

Isaiah’s life begins to change when he meets a mentor who has also known loss.

Through guidance, correction, and truth, Isaiah learns a powerful lesson:

Psalm 118:8–9 (KJV)
“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”

When Isaiah faces his father again, his anger rises—but this time, truth meets him. He learns his identity is not in rejection, but in God.

Through forgiveness and repentance, his spirit aligns with the Holy Spirit.

And everything changes.

He becomes responsible.
He honors his mother.
He serves others.
He leads.

Spiritual Alignment Brings Breakthrough

The Forge

The Forge

The movie shows that breakthrough is not luck—it is alignment.

Forgiveness releases anger
Repentance corrects behavior
The Word of God renews the mind
The Holy Spirit gives power to change

Zechariah 4:6 (KJV)
“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.”

When Isaiah aligns with God, he steps into purpose. He helps save the company through teamwork, sacrifice, and leadership. This is transformation.

The Power of Godly Support Groups

Two support systems helped Isaiah:

His mother’s prayer group
A mentoring brotherhood at work

These were not casual gatherings. They had direction, accountability, and truth.

Today, similar growth can happen through groups like:

Church small groups with strong leadership
Christian mentorship programs
Recovery groups (faith-based)
Toastmasters International (builds confidence and discipline)
WW International (teaches accountability and consistency)
Bible-based counseling groups

These groups help people:

Build discipline
Speak truth over their lives
Practice accountability
Grow in confidence and purpose
Learn to serve others

Matthew 18:20 (KJV)
“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

When You Need Counsel

Some struggles are deep. Anger, rejection, and confusion can lead people to sabotage their own lives. That is why wise counsel matters.

Proverbs 11:14 (KJV)
“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”

Seeking guidance from Bible-based counselors can help uncover hidden wounds, bring clarity, and guide you back to truth. Prayer, scripture, and honest conversation can begin real healing.

✔️✔️✔️ Final Thought

The Forge reminds us that God can reshape any life. No matter how far someone drifts, alignment with the Holy Spirit brings them back into purpose.

Breakthrough begins when we:

Let go of anger and repent

Forgive deeply

Accept truth through the Word of God. Study your Bible to know what that is.

Walk with God daily – Be obedient

Pray to and Praise God to get help in overcoming.  Breakthrough comes in alignment.

Fellowship with other believers to be accountable to each other.

Seek mentors and Counseling- age is just a number.
