The Bible teaches us that true victory is not about fighting every battle but about surrendering our lives to God. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV) declares, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
These verses remind us that our purpose and ultimate success lie in living for God, who will judge all things in His perfect time.
When we surrender to God, we win because we align ourselves with His will, which guarantees victory. This surrender isn’t about giving up; it’s about giving in to God’s greater plan. Joseph’s story in Genesis 37–50 beautifully illustrates this. Sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, falsely accused, and imprisoned, Joseph could have sought revenge.
Instead, he surrendered his circumstances to God. In doing so, he not only rose to power in Egypt but also saved his family and countless lives during a famine. His success became his testimony and a form of justice that glorified God.
“Success is the best revenge” aligns with biblical principles when we understand success as fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives. Chasing personal revenge leads to bitterness and sin, but trusting God allows Him to handle justice. Romans 12:19 says, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
True success comes when we let go of anger and pursue God’s calling. By surrendering to His guidance, we rise above the actions of others and focus on building a life that reflects His glory. Success is the best revenge because it silences our enemies, not with words or actions, but by showcasing the goodness of God in our lives.
Reflective Question:
Are you trusting God to turn your trials into triumphs, or are you holding onto battles He is asking you to surrender?
