2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
One of Satan’s greatest tricks is convincing people that he doesn’t exist. His second is making people believe that anything they do is acceptable to God. But even though Jesus loves us and gave His life for us, there is one sin He clearly says will not be forgiven—blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
Be careful. Halloween is tomorrow, and while many will be celebrating and partying—especially in cult circles—believers should not take part. Many of these events promise money and fame and then require the participate to deny Jesus and to blasphem the Holy Spirit.
As I shared in a previous post, this day is rooted in darkness. Yet if you choose to be with friends who are celebrating anyway, stay alert. Many of these events are designed to trick people into mocking or blaspheming the Spirit of God. Don’t let the trick be you. Previous post: Why churches should not celebrate Halloween and why some do.
Jesus gave a sobering warning in Mark 3:28-30 (KJV):
“Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.”
In simple words, Jesus tells us that God can forgive many sins, but blaspheming the Holy Spirit—calling Him unclean or denying His holy work—is an eternal danger. Why? Because the Spirit is the one who draws us to Christ, convicts us of sin, and seals us for salvation. If we reject Him, there’s no other way to be saved.

A Warning in Today’s World
Many cults, occult groups, and satanic organizations memberships require denying Christ and to speak against the Holy Spirit. This is not just rebellion—it’s a dangerous crossing of the line into eternal separation from God.
Even in everyday life, we must be careful. Tomorrow is Halloween, and while many will enjoy candy and costumes, beware of “spooky jokes,” songs, or chants that mock God or His Spirit. Words have power. What seems like a laugh can open a spiritual door you don’t want opened. Do not let anyone trick you into repeating something that dishonors the Spirit of God. It is not funny, and the consequences are not worth it.
God’s Promise of Return
The Lord reminds us in Malachi 3:6-7 (KJV):
“For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.”
God is merciful.
In John 5:18 (KJV), we read why the religious leaders wanted Jesus dead:
“Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.”
Jesus was accused of blasphemy simply for telling the truth—that He was the Son of God. The world still rejects Him for this. But He willingly gave His life so that we might be saved.

Final Thought
Friend, be careful with your words. Do not allow a holiday, a song, or a group to pressure you into dishonoring the Spirit of God. The enemy hides behind jokes, music, and rituals—but God sees and holds us accountable.
Instead of mocking, let us return to God with reverence, knowing that His mercy is available. Choose life, choose truth, and honor the Holy Spirit who seals us for eternal life.
👉 Reflection Question:
What words, habits, or influences in your life might be leading you away from honoring the Holy Spirit—and how can you replace them with words of faith?
