Hello Truth Seekers and Believers,
As I sit here this evening, with a cup of herbal tea, winding down for the evening and preparing this letter to reach you by midnight my heart feels thankful. Earlier today and last week, I wrestled with waves of anxiety, stress and feeling overwhelmed.
But earlier, in the quiet of this morning devotion, while praying and reading the Word, the Lord sent me an unexpected comfort. The words echoed in my spirit: “When things are too hard for you, give them to the Lord.” That simple reminder lifted my burden. Let’s talk about it.

These are troubling times. Many families have lost sons in recent wars. Others are caught up in university protests or facing deportation. Jobs are disappearing, and dreams are being delayed. Around us, the news reports alien sightings in the skies, rising crime, earthquakes, tornados, and floods.
Health threats like flu outbreaks add to the stress. Parents lie awake at night, worried about their children’s safety at school, while also burdened with concerns over finances and homes. Seniors and veterans wonder how they will sustain their futures. The comfort of the American Dream feels shaky.
In moments like this, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Anxiety, pressure, and frustration can push us to overreact. For those already struggling with health issues, these stresses can even bring on illness. Some fall into depression.
Even people of faith—those who love God—may find they need extra help sometimes. And that’s okay. Don’t allow pressure to make you argue with loved ones or lose your temper over small things, leading to health problems like high blood pressure. Some turn to prayer but also to alcohol, drugs, or food for comfort. Instead, ask God for His help. He is the God of all comfort. Live intentionally, with a conscious mind, and lean on Him.
2 Corinthians 1:3 – 1:4 KJV 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Isaiah 41:10 KJV “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Nevertheless, in all this chaos, we must remember: God is still in control. Fear may whisper that everything is falling apart, but faith tells us that everything is in God’s hands.
The Bible says:
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1 (KJV)
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee.” — Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
Personal Testimony
I recently received the keys to my mother’s two storage units, knowing I needed to move her things and find a unit closer to me. As I looked through her photo collections and belongings, each item stirred childhood memories and family gatherings—her home had always been the heart of it all.
I thought I had healed from her passing over a year ago, but the grief suddenly pressed heavy on my chest.
The Lord had already confirmed through Scripture some time ago, that she had moved on and that I, too, needed to let go and live abundantly. Still, the pain caught me off guard.
I whispered the name of Jesus and on my way home stopped at a grocery store to get something for stress, and instead of stopping for a St. John’s herb, I was led to buy a soothing tea—elderberry, lemon balm, and stress relief. I’ve never had it before.
At home, I fixed a hot cup of tea. As I drank it, calm washed over me, and the anxiety lifted. Sometimes it doesn’t take a grand miracle—just the name of the Lord and a simple cup of tea.
A 2025 systematic review highlights that even 1 to 2 cups daily of green, oolong, or herbal tea may help alleviate psychological stress and promote relaxation. ResearchGate
Soon after, a friend called whose mother had passed two years ago. Our conversation reminded me of the importance of staying connected with believers who can pray, encourage, and walk alongside us. If you don’t have a local church, find one—or join a social group where you can share and heal together.
As the Bible says, “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16 KJV).
Bible Story Testimony
We can learn from the story of Daniel in the lions’ den (Daniel 6). Daniel faced danger because he refused to stop praying to God. His enemies tricked the king into making a law against prayer, but Daniel trusted God anyway. Even when thrown into the den of lions, God sent an angel to shut their mouths. Daniel came out unharmed because his trust was in the Lord, not in the laws or threats of men.

Today, no matter what headlines scream at us, we can rest in God’s promise “to never leave nor forsake us”. Trusting God doesn’t mean the storms won’t come—but it means we have an anchor that holds.

Romans 10:17 KJV “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
