Hello Truth Seekers,
I hope this letter finds you well and walking in peace. This morning, during my devotion time, I opened a Catholic Bible I found at a thrift store. It caught my eye because of its beauty—and to my surprise, it was based on the King James Version. There is a comparable King James Scripture as well. As I flipped through its pages, I came across a verse that stood out—one that spoke about the purpose of wearing religious clothing. It can be applied to jewelery. Not as a trend, but as a spiritual reminder.
That scripture moved me, and when I looked it up in the King James Bible, I saw it again—worded a little differently, but carrying the same powerful truth. I’ll share both versions with you in just a moment.
I felt led to write about this because I’ve noticed something: more and more people are wearing crosses—some made of fine diamonds, others crafted from wood, silver and gold. I love Christian jewelry and clothing myself, but we have to remember—these symbols were never meant to be just fashion. They were meant to help us remember God’s Word and keep it close to our hearts.
Let’s talk about what it really means to wear your faith.

Numbers 15:37–41 KJV (included in Catholic canon), which instructs:
“Make tassels on the corners of your garments, and put a blue cord on the tassel of each corner. And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord … so that you may remember to do all My commandments and be holy to your God.”
This passage refers to tzitzit—tassels worn on the corners of a prayer shawl or garment. The purpose? Every time you see those tassels or cords, you’re reminded of God’s commandments and stay obedient and holy.
In Catholic understanding, while worn on garments rather than around the neck, these tassels serve much like religious jewelry—a visible, daily sign to recall God’s laws and live by them.
Numbers 15:37–41 is in the King James Version (KJV)! Here’s the key passage:
“Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them…”

What About jwelery and clothing?
Proverbs 6:20–21 (KJV): “ 20 My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: 21 Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck”.
Numbers 15:37–41 is in the King James Version (KJV)! Here’s the key passage:
“Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the Lord, and do them…”
Wearing symbols like a cross or scripture jwelery or clothing can be a powerful reminder—to pray, to forgive, to walk in love. It helps you stay focused. And yes, it also makes it easier for others to know you’re a believer.
But sadly, some celebrities wear crosses while openly rejecting Jesus. That’s not faith—it’s disrespect.

⚠️ Warning:
Because of today’s sensitive political and social climate—no matter where you live—please use wisdom when wearing religious jewelry or clothing in certain public places. Your safety and your family’s safety should always come first.
For example, if you attend a public gym, be aware that others around you may live very differently. Some may come from backgrounds or work in industries—such as security, entertainment, or alternative belief systems—where your expression of faith might be misunderstood or provoke discomfort.
While we are called to be bold in our faith, we are also called to be wise. Always protect yourself and your children. If wearing certain clothing or jewelry could place you in danger of verbal or physical harm, consider the situation carefully.
That said, when it’s safe—don’t be afraid to express your joy in Christ! Wear your scripture shirts, crosses, or faith-inspired fashion proudly at church, during family outings, while shopping, or at community events. Enjoy your life and let your light shine with wisdom and love.
🔍 What About Tattoos?
Why? Because God marks His people spiritually, not with ink. If you tattoo yourself, you may pick a symboll that will change your identity in Christ without knowing it.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 (KJV): “Abstain from all appearance of evil.”
Leviticus 19:28 (KJV): “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you.”
Ezekiel 9:4 (KJV): God sends an angel to “set a mark upon the foreheads” of those who mourn over sin.
Revelation 7:3 (KJV): His servants are sealed “in their foreheads.” That’s God’s tattoo—invisible, holy, and eternal.
What about pictures and objects?
Some wear symbols from false religions or display images of people who did not live for Christ, others love various types of crystals for protection. The Bible warns us to stay away from objects connected to false gods, idols, or occult practices—because they can carry spiritual danger or curses.
🔥 Deuteronomy 7:25-26 (KJV) “The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.
Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.”
🔹 This is a strong warning not to bring cursed or idolatrous objects into your home. Even if it looks valuable or beautiful, it can be a spiritual trap.
“And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men…”
🔹 When people were saved in the early church, they burned occult books and magical objects—even though they were valuable—because they were spiritually dangerous.
“In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats.”
🔹 This verse reflects future repentance—people will throw away these objects once they realize they are offensive to God.
Instead, choose pictures that feature scripture in bold, graphic text along with natural scenery.
Deuteronomy 11:18–21 (KJV): “And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house… That your days may be multiplied.”
18Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. 19And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 20And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates: 21That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.

👣 Final Thought: If you wear the symbol, walk the walk. Don’t wear what your heart doesn’t believe. 💬 Are you wearing your faith—or are you just wearing a symbol?

Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
