Letter From the Editors Desk: Are Easter and Christmas Pagan Holidays?

Hello Truth Seekers.

There’s a growing trend especially on social media, where people—sometimes even those who claim to follow Christ—say Easter and Christmas are pagan holidays. But is that true? Or is it part of a larger plan to stop believers from celebrating Jesus?  Is it apart of the One World Religion Plan?  Let’s talk about it.

Let’s be clear: there is nothing unrighteous about Jesus Christ. Psalm 92:15 (KJV) says, “The LORD is upright… there is no unrighteousness in him.” So any day we choose to praise Him is a good day!

Yes, pagans had holidays long ago. But after Jesus died and rose again, believers chose to honor Him on those same days. The focus changed from false gods to the Son of God. Romans 8:1 KJV tells us, “There is now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”

Some people and religions don’t want to celebrate Easter and Christmas. They cry it is evil.  That’s their choice. But the Bible warns us not to judge each other over days.

Romans 14:5-6 KJV  says if someone celebrates a day unto the Lord, it is a good thing.

Romans 14:5 KJV  “One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.”

Consequences to those who tell others to not celebrate the Son of God in Jesus Christ and the completed work on the cross that reunited us to God and gave forgiveness of sin.  There is no greater love.

John 15:13 KJV Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

If we celebrate each other why can we not celebrate Jesus Christ who is our creator and who is love and truth?

Do you have to be told to celebrate God when he has said to praise him from the love of our heart?

Do you celebrate birthdays, promotions, that new house?  Is it in the bible? Gratitude and Thanksgiving is in the bible.  God does not disapprove as long as you give him the honor and glory.  Do not sin just because it is a holiday.

Some people think to celebrate is to get drunk, fornicate or commit adultry and fight.  That is why some people do not like to celebrate anything because they say it causes people to sin.  That is an individual choice as well as how much money people spend.  However, we do not disregard God for sinners.

Even though we do not want to cause  a person to fall, sinners will always be. We put nothing before God. Each person must chose to love and obey God. Believers celebrate God in a Holy Way, in truth, spirit and love.

1 Corinthians 10:31 KJV  “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

Matthew 22: 36-41 KJV  36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. 41While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,

Weddings

Jesus Himself attended a wedding in John 2. Weddings were already celebrated long before Jesus came. It is not necessay to have a wedding to get married. Many go to the Justice of the Peace. They are just as married as someone who has a 2 million dollar wedding.

The wedding industry in the United States is the providers of services and goods for weddings in the U.S., taken as a whole. Every year in the United States, there are approximately 2.5 million weddings. The United States wedding industry was estimated to be worth about $70.5 billion as of 2022. (wikipedia)

I would consider weddings to be highly commerical.  However, it does not stop people from getting married and having weddings.

Some weddings are fancy, some are simple—but when Jesus is included, it becomes holy. Ecclesiastes 4:12 KJV reminds us that a marriage with God is like a strong threefold cord.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 KJV   “And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

We are the bride of Christ, so why wouldn’t we celebrate our Savior and the work He did on the cross?

Remember the difference in the Old Testament and the New Testament

Believers must remember there is a difference in the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Gospel changes lives.  We are not to judge. The disciples spoke the word of God but were instructed to not enforce. In the Old Testament, everything of disobedience was a sentence to death.

Today, we don’t have to accept others ideologies or the One World Religion Order which brings everyone under the control of the Anti-Christ. Remember, you have a choice.

Matthew 10:14  KJV And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

Colossians 2:16 KJV also tells us not to let others judge us about holy days.  Colossians 2:16  KJV “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:”

So, if you celebrate Easter or Christmas to honor Jesus—do it with joy.  Be careful of voices trying to erase Him from your life. Not everyone who claims to speak truth is truly for Christ.  If you decide to not celebrate Easter or Christmas, please do not try to persuade others to do the same.

Jesus may hold it against you that you kept others from praising and gloryfying him within holidays set aside for God especially, if you say it is evil.

Let us continue to shine light, praise Jesus, and teach our children that God is good, and He is worth celebrating. Easter egg hunts and children easter programs teach children upon their understanding that God is good, loves them and wants them to have fun.  As they get older, they no longer do Easter egg hunts as their conscious are on a higher level of understanding.

Psalms 150:6  KJV  “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.”

Proverbs 22:6 KJV  “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

❤️❤️❤️Reflection Question:
Am I honoring Jesus in my celebrations, or have I let the opinions of others keep me from expressing my love and gratitude for Him?

Below is a YouTube video in which many representees of all religions from around the world signed in agreement for a One World Religion in 2013. What do you think?

I think we will have a lot of people telling us not to celebrate Christ in our way of holidays, communion, praise and prayer.  There will be a strategic move to take over our churches to erase Jesus Christ inorder to make a unity world church. This my people will be the “falling away from the faith”  as predicted in the King James Bible.

When the church, the Bride of Christ, is no longer accepted in the world. It is over.  You are the church. Do not let your light go out.

1 Timothy 4:1  KJV  “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;”

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
