1 John 1:9 KJV “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
God loves us so much that He made a way for us to come straight to Him anytime. We don’t need to be perfect. We just need to come with a humble heart. Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” This means we can go to God with confidence, not fear.
During Lent, we think about Jesus’ sacrifice and take time to repent—this means to turn away from sin and turn back to God. When we say sorry and mean it, God forgives us. The “mercy seat” was the place in the temple where God’s presence showed up. Now, because of Jesus, we don’t need a temple. We are welcome into God’s presence every day!

Alt tag: Approach the Throne of Grace.
Bible Story Example:
The prodigal son (Luke 15:11–32 KJV) is a great picture of coming boldly. He made bad choices, but when he returned home, his father ran to meet him and forgave him. That’s how God is with us. No matter what we’ve done, we can come back, and He will show mercy.
Real World Example:
Think of someone getting in trouble and thinking their parent will be angry. But when they confess, the parent hugs them and helps them learn. That’s what God does when we come boldly with a repentant heart.
Reflection Question:
What’s one thing you need to bring to God today without fear?

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
