“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

📜 Bible Story: Joshua and the Gibeonites (Joshua 9:3-27 KJV)
In the Old Testament, Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land. God told them not to make peace with the enemy nations. However, the Gibeonites, fearing Israel’s power, tricked them. They wore old clothes, carried moldy bread, and pretended to be from a far land. They asked Joshua to make a peace treaty. Without asking God, Joshua agreed.
