Time is one of the most valuable gifts God has given us, yet many find themselves trapped in cycles of delay, setbacks, and unproductivity. In the spiritual realm, evil altars and covenants can attempt to control a person’s destiny, hindering progress and stealing their time.

Proverbs 24:33-34 (KJV) warns us, “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that traveled; and thy want as an armed man.” Likewise, 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (KJV) reminds us, “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”

Many believers struggle with unexplainable time loss, feeling stuck, or encountering constant setbacks. This study will uncover the spiritual attacks against your time, identify unproductive habits that waste time, and provide an action plan to take control through faith in Jesus Christ.  

Three Scriptures on Taking Control of Your Time:

1. Ephesians 5:16 (KJV) – “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

   • We must actively reclaim lost time and use it wisely for God’s purpose.

2. Daniel 2:21 (KJV) – “And he changes the times and the seasons: he removes kings, and sets up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding.”

   • God has full control over time and seasons; nothing is beyond His power.

3. Joel 2:25 (KJV) – “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”

   • God is a restorer of time. What was stolen or delayed can be redeemed by His grace.  

Signs That Witchcraft is Stealing Your Time:

1. Constant Delays & Missed Opportunities

   • You keep facing obstacles that prevent progress—missed deadlines, unexpected hindrances, and repeated failures.
   • Doors that should open remain shut, and no matter how much effort you put in, things seem to move backward instead of forward.

2. Mental Fog & Confusion

   • Difficulty concentrating on tasks, forgetting important things, and always feeling drained without explanation.
   • You may experience strange distractions whenever you try to pray, read the Bible, or work towards your goals.

3. Unusual Patterns of Setbacks & Losses

   • Things break down unexpectedly (cars, appliances, technology) right when you need them most.
   • Money seems to disappear without reason, and you struggle with financial instability despite working hard.
   • People keep canceling important meetings or plans at the last minute, keeping you in a cycle of waiting.  

Three Unproductive Habits That Waste Time:

1. Excessive Social Media & Entertainment

   • Scrolling endlessly on social media, binge-watching TV, or playing games instead of being productive.
   • These distractions can keep you in a cycle of procrastination and wasted time.

2. Lack of Planning & Procrastination

   • Waking up without a plan, going through the day aimlessly, or putting off important tasks for later.
   • This leads to lost opportunities, stress, and unfinished work.

3. Complaining Instead of Taking Action

   • Spending time blaming circumstances, people, or bad luck instead of making necessary changes.
   • Complaining keeps you stuck in the past while action moves you forward.

Three-Step Action Plan to Take Control of Your Time:

1. Break the Stronghold with Prayer & Fasting

   • Declare your authority in Jesus Christ. Pray to break every evil altar controlling your time (Matthew 17:21 KJV).
   • Fast and seek God’s guidance to remove spiritual delays.

2. Align Your Life with God’s Purpose

   • Spend time in the Word to understand God’s divine timing.
   • Avoid distractions that keep you from fulfilling His calling.

3. Speak Life and Move Forward in Faith

   • Speak restoration over your lost time (Job 22:28 KJV).
   • Take action towards your goals, trusting God to accelerate your steps.

Reflection Question:

Have you noticed patterns of delay, wasted time, or setbacks in your life? How can you align yourself with God’s timing through prayer and obedience?

You are not bound by past failures, lost opportunities, or demonic delays. In Christ, you have the power to break every evil altar, cancel wrong covenants, and take control of your time for God’s glory. Seek Him daily, walk in faith, and watch how He restores all things!
