Hello Family,

Have you ever watched a magic trick that made you question what was real? A coin disappears in the magician’s hand, but we know it didn’t vanish—it was hidden. The world we live in today is full of things that seem real but are actually illusions. If we are not careful, we can be tricked into believing lies instead of standing on the truth of God’s Word.  Let’s talk about it.

The Bible warns us that everything in this world is temporary and often deceptive. Ecclesiastes 1:8-11 (KJV) reminds us, “All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing… There is no new thing under the sun.” What we see today—whether through technology, news, or social media—is not always as it seems.

Real-World Examples of Deception

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Fake Truths

AI can create realistic videos and voices of people who never said a word of what is shown. Have you seen news stories or videos that turned out to be completely false?

People believe what they see, but even images and voices can be faked. Proverbs 14:15 (KJV) says, “The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.” We must test everything against God’s truth.

Drones and Hidden Eyes

Drones fly above us, taking pictures, recording videos, and even being used in war. Some are as small as insects, making them almost impossible to see. People assume privacy, but someone may be watching.

In the same way, sin tries to hide in darkness, but God sees everything. Luke 8:17 (KJV) warns us, “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.”

Manipulated Statistics and Half-Truths

Numbers can be twisted to say what people want them to say. Governments, businesses, and the media use statistics to influence what we believe. For example, one report may claim something is “safe” while another proves it is not.

Without wisdom from God, we are easily led astray. James 1:5 (KJV) assures us, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

The Only True Foundation—God’s Word

The world is filled with deceptions, but God’s Word never changes. What is popular today will fade tomorrow, but the Bible has stood the test of time. Jesus told us in John 8:32 (KJV), “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” If you don’t study the Word of God, you will fall for lies. But when you build your life on His truth, you will stand strong in any storm.

Do not let the illusions of this world control your mind. Seek God, pray for wisdom, and read the Bible daily. When you walk in truth, you will not be easily deceived.

2 Peter 1:2 “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,”
