Many people think they need to be perfect before they can follow Jesus. This belief can hold us back from experiencing His love and grace. But the truth is, Jesus doesn’t call perfect people—He calls broken people, sinners, and those in need of His forgiveness.
In the Bible, we see this over and over. One powerful example is Peter, one of Jesus’ disciples. Peter loved Jesus but made mistakes, like denying Jesus three times before His crucifixion (Matthew 26:69-75).
Yet, Jesus forgave Peter and gave him a mission to spread the Gospel (John 21:15-17 KJV). This shows that following Jesus isn’t about being flawless; it’s about being willing to let Him work in your life.
Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 KJV, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” This invitation is for everyone. He knows we aren’t perfect, and that’s why He offers us His grace.
As Romans 3:23 KJV reminds us, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Grace is God’s gift to help us grow and transform, not something we earn by being perfect.
When we follow Jesus, He helps us become more like Him. Perfection isn’t the goal—faith and obedience are. As Romans 3:23 KJV reminds us, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” No one is perfect, but everyone is invited to walk with Jesus.

Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
