2 Corinthians 11:13-15 KJV  13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works

In today’s world, many people live in a mixed reality, where truth and accountability are replaced with fantasy and mindless thinking. This dangerous mindset leads to chaos, irresponsibility, and destruction. God’s Word teaches us that there is a clear right and wrong, and living outside of His truth brings consequences. It is written,

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” (1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV)

The Rise of Fantasy Thinking

Some people make decisions based on imagined realities, completely disconnected from facts, research, or moral principles. This mindset fuels criminal behavior, including gang activity and various cults, where stealing, killing, and destroying are justified under the false banner of loyalty and family. Both Gangs and cults manipulate members by preaching a twisted form of unity and strength, but this loyalty is hollow, built on lies and fear.

Jesus made it clear who inspires such actions: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 KJV) Gangs claim to protect their members, yet their mission directly opposes God’s commandments and destroys lives.

Technology and Fantasy Worlds

Technology has given rise to games, social media, and virtual realities that pull people away from God’s truth. Many fall prey to these distractions, losing sight of their real-life responsibilities. These fantasy worlds may seem harmless but can lead to idleness, broken relationships, and even addiction. As believers, we must guard our minds: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2 KJV)

The Deceptions of 2024

  • War and Conflict: Many wars stem from greed, pride, and deception, ignoring God’s command to love one another.
  • Irresponsibility: Choosing not to pay bills or work hard reflects a lack of stewardship over what God has entrusted to us.
  • Gang Missions: Gangs exploit the vulnerable by offering false loyalty and purpose, luring individuals into lives of crime. This counterfeit “family” ultimately leads to destruction.
  • Family Breakdown: Preferring not to marry but starting families leads to instability for children, often resulting in intervention by agencies like DFCS.
  • Work Ethic: People accept jobs but refuse to fulfill their responsibilities, ignoring the Bible’s command: “If any would not work, neither should he eat.” (2 Thessalonians 3:10 KJV)

Accountability is God’s Design

Accountability is essential for change and growth. Just as consequences rehabilitate criminals, God uses discipline to guide His children: “For whom the Lord loveth he chastens, and scourge every son whom he received.” (Hebrews 12:6 KJV)

Action Steps for Living in Truth:

  1. Acknowledge God’s Word: Accept that His commandments are absolute and provide the foundation for a righteous life.
  2. Renew Your Mind: Stay away from fantasy distractions and focus on what is true and noble.
  3. Reject False Loyalties: Recognize and walk away from relationships or groups that lead you into sin or deception.
  4. Take Responsibility: Be accountable for your actions, and trust God to guide you back to His path.

Reflection Question: Are you living in God’s reality, or are you caught in the lies of false loyalty and fantasy thinking?

CALL TO SALVATION:

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
