Hello Family,

Happy New Year! As we step into 2005, let’s come together with a shared vision for success and love, starting where it matters most—our homes. Have you ever wished for more peace, protection, love, and holiness in your home?

The Bible offers us a powerful way to achieve this through anointing our homes with oil and the Word of God. It can also includes Holy Music This sacred act invites His presence, fills your space with His holy light, and drives out all darkness.

I remember back in the day on Sundays, all anyone could play was Gospel Music.  I still practice this tradition to this day. I know many people who practice this whether they go to church or not.  Keeping your home Holy beings the Peace of God. Below we will discuss biblically anointing your home with Holy Oil, The Word of God, Music and Prayer.

By anointing your home, you symbolically dedicate it to God, creating a barrier against evil spirits, breaking curses, and fostering an environment of peace and harmony. Let’s Talk about it.

The act of anointing a home is not just a tradition—it is a powerful spiritual practice. It cleanses the atmosphere, wards off astral-projected spirits, and offers supernatural protection, especially over children. In Exodus 12:7 KJV, the Israelites were instructed to put the blood of a lamb on their doorposts to protect their homes from the final plague.

Similarly, Rahab, the prostitute, marked her window with a scarlet cord (Joshua 2:18-21), and her household was spared during the fall of Jericho. These stories remind us of the power of marking our homes with signs of God’s presence.

Holy music is used to get rid of unholy spirits:  1 Samuel 16:14-23. When King Saul was tormented by an evil spirit sent by God, his servants suggested finding someone skilled in playing the harp to bring relief. David, a young shepherd and musician, was chosen for this task because of his skill and his anointing by God.

Whenever the evil spirit tormented Saul, David would play the harp. The holy music brought peace to Saul, calming his distress and causing the evil spirit to leave. This story illustrates the power of God-inspired music to drive away spiritual torment and bring tranquility.  It reminds us of the importance of inviting God’s presence into our lives through worship and music.

Matthew 10:12-13. Jesus told the disciples, as He sent them out to minister, to greet each house they entered with a blessing of peace. If the household was worthy and peace greeted them, their blessing of peace would remain. However, if the home was unworthy and rejected peace, the blessing would return to them.

This teaching emphasizes discerning the spiritual atmosphere and being welcomed by a receptive heart, showing the importance of peace in inviting God’s presence.

Action Steps to Anoint Your Home

  1. Prepare the Oil: Use olive oil or a mix of olive oil with essential oils such as frankincense or myrrh, symbolizing the purity and presence of God. Pray over the oil, dedicating it to God’s service.
  2. Prayer to Bless the Oil
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your blessing upon this oil. Just as You instructed in Your Word, we set this oil apart as holy, dedicated to Your purpose. May it be a symbol of Your presence, power, and healing. Lord, anoint this oil to break every yoke, cast out all darkness, and bring peace, protection, and blessings to wherever it is applied. Let it serve as a reminder of Your love, grace, and authority in our lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
  3. Pray Through Each Room: Walk through your home, praying for God’s protection, peace, and presence in every corner. Mark doorways and windows with a small cross of oil as a symbol of God’s covering.
  4. Speak Blessings Over Your Family Touching: Pray specifically for the children, asking God to shield them from harm, guide them in righteousness, and fill your home with His peace.
  5. Post pictures with scripture written on them. Some people post post-it notes or cards they make and put them on the wall.  You can print scripture and put in different size picture frames.
  6. Play Holy Music – music with scripture included, for example: The Lord is My Shepherd, Amazing Grace, and Psalm 34  See You Tube’s Hit Gospel Play List- Free.
