The lord expresses that we should pray and pray without ceasing. He also demands we pray for others to receive blessings for ourselves. Below are 5 reasons we should pray for others: Freedom, healing, perfection, obedience, and to train our children. It costs NO money.  You can pray anywhere at any time. God can do more for others than you can. He is the Gift that keeps on giving.  Keep a prayer list so you don’t forget.  Ask God in prayer is there anyone you know or don’t know that needs prayer.  

Matthew 26:41 KJV  “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Ask the Holy Spirit for help in praying.  Romans 8:26 KJV  “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

1. Pray for your friends in order to release yourself from captivity.

Job 42:10 KJV  “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

 

2.  Praying for others brings healing.

James 5:16 KJV  “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

 

3.  Pray for various things for all saints (sisters and brothers in Christ) to be obedient to God.

Ephesians 6:18 KJV  “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”

 

4.  Pray for your children and train them in the word so they may not depart from the Lord. They will have a better life.

Proverbs 22:6 KJV “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

 

5.  Pray for your enemies so you may be perfect in spirit as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Matthew 5:45 KJV  “That ye may be the children of your Father which  ⁴³Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. ⁴⁴But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; ⁴⁵That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

 ⁴⁶For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? ⁴⁷And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? ⁴⁸Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
