Chapter 21:  Overview of Chapter 21.  Jesus establishes that his relationship with each of us is one on one. No one can get saved for you and you will not get into heaven on a recommendation. You represent yourself, and you will be judged on your own merits.  Chapter 21 is the last Chapter in John.

Jesus, who has risen, is on a shore and see the disciples in a boat. This is now the third time that Jesus showed himself to his disciples. The disciples have unsuccessfully caught fish to eat.  Jesus calls to them and tells them to throw the net to the other side of the boat.  More fish than their nets can handle jump into the nets.  A second boat of disciples help them take the fish to shore. The disciples’ dinner has been prepared and is ready. Jesus has dinner with them.

Jesus decides to test a disciple’s love for him. He tells him to feed his sheep. To another he says “follow me”.   At this point, the disciples do not dispute anything about Jesus Christ. Their faith is made unshakable. One disciple asks about another disciple, whom had betrayed Jesus. “What is he to do?” Jesus responds, “If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?”  Jesus demonstrates that God’s business is not man’s business as far as judgement.

CALL TO SALVATION:

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is  the Spirit. (Get Baptized)
