The cure for division is loving others like Jesus did.
Scripture: John 13:34 KJV – “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you…”
The Pain Point: Tired of Hate and Division?
In today’s world, division seems to be everywhere—churches split over small disagreements, families fall out over offense, and social media is full of arguments. Even among believers, it’s easy to get swept into frustration and choose sides rather than choose love.
Many are emotionally and spiritually exhausted by the negativity and disconnection. Deep down, people long for real connection, unity, and peace—but don’t know where to begin.
The Solution: Love Like Jesus
Jesus didn’t just talk about love—He demonstrated it, even toward people who rejected, betrayed, or misunderstood Him. In John 13:34 KJV, Jesus gives us a new commandment, not a suggestion: “Love one another as I have loved you.”
When Jesus was on the cross, people mocked Him, gambled for His clothes, gave Him vinegar to drink, and pierced His side with a spear. In His pain, He cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” Yet, even as He was being crucified, Jesus showed pure love by praying, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34 KJV).
Jesus didn’t try to get revenge—He trusted God to handle it all. He showed us that we don’t have to stay close to people who hurt us, especially if they mean us harm. We are called to protect ourselves and give the situation to God, because He knows the full truth.
Some people have spent years looking for someone to get revenge, only to later learn they had the wrong person. That’s a powerful reason to forgive. Things are not always as they seem. And even when they are, God says, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord” (Romans 12:19 KJV). That’s His way of keeping us safe from spiritual condemnation and trouble with the law.
Isaiah 54:17 KJV
“No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord.” – Isaiah 54:17 KJV
This means that God will protect and justify them against all adversaries, and their righteousness will be recognized and defended by God Himself.
Jesus is love. His actions on the cross prove it.

This is not conditional love. It’s not based on whether someone agrees with you politically, worships the same way, or treats you well. It’s agape love—the kind that forgives, sacrifices, and keeps showing up.
If you’re tired of division, start with love. Not the kind that avoids truth, but the kind that speaks truth with grace. Jesus loved people into transformation.
Takeaway: Love Is the Bridge to Healing
When we love like Jesus, we become bridges—not walls. We bring healing to broken conversations, soften hardened hearts, and live as true disciples. According to John 13:35, the world will know we follow Christ not by our posts, church attendance, or theology, but by how we love one another.
Start with kindness. Choose empathy. Assume the best. Let your love be louder than your opinions. Real love doesn’t mean you always agree—it means you always care.***Disclosure: Below graphics are not affiliated links. Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
