                                                                   Psalm 68:5 KJV – “A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.”

Father’s Day can stir up deep emotions—not just joy and celebration, but pain and silence too. For many, this day brings memories of someone who wasn’t there—a dad who was absent, emotionally distant, or completely gone. Many Father’s Day reopens emotional wounds from childhood.  Remember, healing begins with forgiveness, not bitterness.

Matthew 6:15 KJV  “But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

The pain of a missing father can leave a lifelong wound. It shows up in broken trust, low self-worth, and questions like:
“Was I not enough?” or “Why didn’t he stay?”

But there is good news—you are not fatherless in God’s eyes.

That’s a promise. God steps into the role others abandon. He doesn’t leave. He doesn’t forget. He sees your tears and knows the ache. He is holy, just, and always present.

You may never get the apology or closure you wanted from your earthly father, but God offers healing, purpose, and love that never fades. He’s not just like a father—He is the perfect Father.
