John : 8 KJV And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

When the woman caught in adultery stood before Jesus, her accusers were ready to stone her. But Jesus said, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone.” One by one they left. Jesus looked at her and said, “Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” John 8:11 KJV

It’s strange how life works, but it truly is what we do for Christ that will last—in this life and the next. I grew up singing this song and hearing so many beautiful versions of it. It wasn’t until about ten years ago that I learned Newton had been involved in slavery. I’m sure he had much to answer for. God forgives, but we still reap what we sow.
