Truth comes from staying in God’s Word, and it sets us free from the lies of the enemy.
Confusion is one of the enemy’s greatest weapons. When people are uncertain, overwhelmed, and lost in the chaos of life, they struggle to make sound decisions. The Bible tells us clearly that God is not the author of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33, KJV). When confusion arises, it does not come from God but from forces that seek to distract, deceive, and destroy.
In today’s world, many struggle with confusion—whether in relationships, faith, finances, or major life decisions. The enemy thrives on doubt, deception, and division, keeping people spiritually unstable. But the Word of God is our anchor, and the Holy Spirit is our divine guide. To avoid confusion, we must stand on business—not the world’s business, but God’s business. This means aligning ourselves with His truth, rejecting deception, and relying on the Holy Spirit for wisdom and discernment.

The Holy Spirit Reveals Truth
Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would guide believers into all truth. He said:
- John 16:13 (KJV) – “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
- The Holy Spirit does not operate by human wisdom but directly from God, revealing truth and exposing deception.
- 1 John 2:27 (KJV) – “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”
- The Holy Spirit teaches believers personally, leading them to truth and keeping them from being deceived.
- John 8:31-32 (KJV) – “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
- Truth comes from staying in God’s Word, and it sets us free from the lies of the enemy.
Biblical Example: Elijah Stood on Business
In 1 Kings 18 KJV, Israel was caught in spiritual confusion—wavering between worshiping God and following Baal. The prophet Elijah stood on business and boldly confronted the false prophets. He declared that only the Lord is God and called for a showdown on Mount Carmel. God sent fire from heaven, proving His power and removing all confusion. When we stand on God’s truth, He reveals Himself clearly and removes deception.
Real-World Example: The Holy Spirit Exposes Deception
A woman named Lisa was excited about a business that promised quick profits and guaranteed returns. Everything seemed legitimate, but before signing the contract, she felt uneasy in her spirit. She prayed for God to reveal the truth.
Over the next few days, as she studied her Bible and sought the Holy Spirit’s guidance, she stumbled upon news articles and legal records exposing the company as a scam.
She was shocked but grateful that the Holy Spirit had warned her before she lost her money. Many times, people ignore these spiritual warnings, thinking they are just doubt or overthinking. But the Holy Spirit’s job is to guide us, warn us, and confirm truth.
How to Overcome Confusion and Stand on God’s Business
- Stay in the Word – “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105, KJV)
- Pray for Discernment – “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally.” (James 1:5, KJV)
- Listen to the Holy Spirit’s Warnings – If something feels off, take time to seek God’s confirmation. “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7, KJV)
Final Thought
The Holy Spirit is our protector from deception. If we seek Him, He will always guide us into truth, exposing lies before they trap us. Confusion is not from God, and we don’t have to live in uncertainty. Stand on God’s business. His truth brings clarity, His Spirit brings peace, and His power will lead you to victory!

CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit.
