Hello ePrayer Circle Tribe,

The world can seem like a crazy place sometimes. It’s hard to understand why people do the things they do, and it can be easy to feel like we’re all alone in our walk with God. But the ascension of Jesus Christ gives us hope and empowerment.

When Jesus ascended into heaven, he didn’t leave us behind. He promised that he would always be with us, and he sent the Holy Spirit to be our guide and comforter. The ascension reminds us that we are not alone, and that we have the power of the Holy Spirit to help us through anything.

So, when you’re feeling overwhelmed by the world, remember the ascension of Jesus Christ. Remember that you are not alone, and that you have the power of the Holy Spirit to help you through anything.  As a believer, you partake in the blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.

Joshua 1:9 KJV  “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whereever thou go.”

The ascension of Jesus is a significant event in Christian theology described in Acts 1: 8-13 KJV . It marks the end of Jesus’ earthly ministry and the beginning of his heavenly reign.  The ascension of Jesus has many important implications for our lives today. It is a reminder of our hope, our victory, and our mission..

First, it reminds us that we are not alone. Jesus is with us always, even though he is no longer physically present on earth. Jesus is victorious over death and sin. This means that we can always come to him with our prayers, knowing that he is listening and that he will answer us.

Second, it gives us hope for the future. This means that we can have confidence in his promises and his ability to save us. Jesus has promised to return one day, and his ascension is a sign that he will keep his promise.   Jesus has gone before us, and he has prepared a place for us in heaven. We can trust him to lead us and guide us on our way.

Third, it calls us to live our lives in a way that is worthy of our calling. We are called to be people of faith, hope, truth, and love. We are called to make a difference in the world, just as Jesus did. we are called to be witnesses. Jesus told his disciples to be witnesses to him in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. It is also a call to action, challenging us to be witnesses to Jesus in the world.

Revelation 12:11 KJV  11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Ascension Day (Christian Celebration)  is one day officially celebrated on a Thursday on the 40th day of Easter (or 39 days after Easter Sunday). In countries where it is a public holiday, Ascension Day is a free day for many workers. Ascension Day is not a federal public holiday in Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom or the United States    It is a public holiday in some countries, including:  Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Vanuatu.

Acts 1: 8-13 KJV 8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. 9And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. 12Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.

13And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.  14These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

The Church was born in the upper room. The baptism of the Holy Spirit was to mark the birth of the infant Church; and for ten days this company were gathered in the place of united prayer, until the heavens were opened and they were all “filled with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 2:4).

Finally,The ascension of Jesus is a glorious event that we can celebrate with great joy. It is a reminder of Jesus’ victory over sin and death, and it is a sign of his coming return. Let us rejoice in the ascension of Jesus and live our lives in a way that is worthy of our calling. When times seem unproductive, we visit the upper room (prayer closet) and pray.

  • Question: How does the ascension of Jesus give you hope in your life?  Are you a witness to Jesus in the world sharing the hope you have in your heart?  Do you read the bible to know the will and power of God?

1 Peter 3:15 KJV  “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that ask of you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”

A CALL TO SALVATION:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
