Let’s be real—some mornings, it feels like we need more coffee than courage. But Jesus gave us a powerful reminder in Matthew 26:41 (KJV): “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
This means we must stay awake spiritually and keep our focus. In a world full of distractions and resistance from the enemy, we must be even more powerful—by remembering who we are and staying in God’s Word. Let’s talk about it.

You are a child of God, the head and not the tail. Deuteronomy 28:13 KJV “And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:”
You wear an invisible crown. Heaven sees it. Angels recognize it. But when we drift away from God’s Word, we become unrecognizable. We lose that power.
Let me share something personal. Growing up, the women in my family would say, “I dreamed of fish.” It was always followed by someone finding out they were expecting a baby. Funny?
Maybe. But powerful? Absolutely. These dreams weren’t ignored—they were prayed over. God gave those dreams to warn, to prepare, and to protect. We must believe like that again.
The Bible is your roadmap. It’s alive. It transforms. —God’s love reaches you through time and space. One verse today may bring comfort. Tomorrow, that same verse may give direction.
That’s how Romans 8:38-39 (KJV) works. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And just like witches use words to cast spells, you must use God’s Word to speak life over your family, over yourself, and over your future. Revelation 12:11 (KJV) says we overcome evil Revelation 12:11 KJV “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Words matter..
Speak scripture. Declare victory. Stay woke. Repent your sins, especially if you have wronged someone else or said something against God and be refreshed. Let the Word refresh you daily.
Acts 3:19 KJV “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;” Speaking the word of God into our circumstances is important because you are standing on the promises of God and declaring victory. Learn the Word of God.
Matthew 22:29 KJV “Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.”
Once a guy told me he was going to bible study one Wednesday night because “your blessings come in bible study”. I thought that to be strange. Later, he explained what he meant was your blessings come in knowing the Word of God. He went to bible study to learn the word of God so he could speak victory as a child of God in his situations. Exactly right.
Jeremiah 1:12 KJV “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”
