Letter From the Editor’s Desk: It is Better to Understand and Know the Lord During These Times.
Hello ePrayer Circle Tribe,
I am so glad to write to you today. I have transferred this site to a new hosting company for faster performance and better uptime, always thinking of your user experience. Therefore, there were a few days when I could not show updated posts. Thank you for your patience.
Recently, I was shopping at a thrift store because it was Senior’s Day. Anyone over the age of 55 got a great discount. Among some nice cookbooks, I found a beautiful, hardbound Bible with a lovely cover in large print for just $2.50.
I thought, what a treasure! I liked the size of it. My regular Bible is very large. This Bible seemed new. When I got home, I decided to read it. I opened it to today’s topic. Today, I want to comment on how the world is operating outside of the Word of God. There is no loyalty or truth, and it seems to be the norm. I thought I would share what God has commanded to be written about these things. Let’s talk about it.
When we seek the Lord, we will find Him, and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Therefore, do not let foolishness, stress, and anxiety overcome you. Trust in God. Many people are giving false counsel and guidance to our leaders and God’s children in the name of God, but more in the name of Baal (a high level demon), causing confusion and leading people away from the faith. God is not pleased.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV): “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Jeremiah 23:24-27 KJV 21I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. 22But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. 23Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? 24Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.
25I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 26How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; 27Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.
In Jeremiah 23:22-24 KJV, the Bible says, “Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.”
These verses remind us that God is always with us. He is near and sees everything. This means we cannot hide from Him, and He is everywhere. In today’s news, we often hear about people doing wrong things in secret. They might think no one sees them, but God does. This should make us think about our actions and our relationship with God.
God tells us about his wrath and the destruction that comes because of disobedience in Jeremiah 9:22-24 KJV: 22Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them. 23Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches:
24But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.
1 John 1:9 KJV “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
One Bible story that helps us understand this is the story of Jonah. God told Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh and tell the people to stop doing bad things. But Jonah did not want to go, so he tried to run away. He thought the people were to bad and did not deserve a chance to change their ways. He got on a ship going in the opposite direction.
But God saw Jonah and sent a big storm. Jonah ended up in the belly of a big fish for three days and three nights. He prayed to God, and God saved him. Jonah then went to Nineveh and did what God told him to do. The people of Nineveh listened and changed their ways.
From this story, we learn that we cannot hide from God. Just like Jonah, God knows where we are and what we are doing. He wants us to follow His ways and know Him. In our lives, we should make it a goal to know God better. We can do this by reading the Bible, praying, and going to church.
When we know God, we understand that He loves us and wants the best for us. We should remember that God is always with us, no matter where we are or what we are doing. Knowing this can help us make better choices and live a life that pleases Him. So, let’s make it our goal to know God and remember that He is always near.
Reflection: How can you make it a goal to know God better in your daily life?

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
