Letter From The Editors Desk: Beware of False Believers and False Prophets: A Call to Test the Spirits

I’m sitting at my desk trying out a new flavor of coffee, Hazelnut.  I love it.  We are going deep into thought today because the topic of fake believers and false prophets is one that I have prayed over frequently and often. Please know, it is always with love and truth that I speak to you. 

People, I have observed individuals who claim to be Believers or Christians but are not, and they do so with the intent to cause discouragement among true believers. This is a tactic of the enemy, as Satan hates everything that God loves and anyone who loves God.

These individuals may practice  Voodoo (combining elements of Roman Catholic ritual with magical and religious rites characterized by sorcery and spirit possession);   Telekinesis – reading and influencing minds; and Astro projection (the ability of a person’s spirit to travel to distant places such as another persons home or neighborhood) and other beliefs alongside Christianity, leading to confusion and division. Let’s talk about it.

I have heard anti-Christian sentiments from people who pronounce major Christian holidays like Easter and Christmas as pagan holidays. There is nothing pagan about celebrating Jesus Christ. People, Jesus Christ celebrations replaced pagan holidays. Jesus replaces a lot of things that people use to practice. It is written in the New Testament.  

On Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, not his birthdate. Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The date was chosen to replace the pagan Sun Feast, giving Christians an alternative to celebrate Jesus Christ instead. Jesus is the light, and we are to worship the Son of God, who is also I AM God.

However, there is something pagan about Halloween, celebrating the dead and condemned, yet these individuals have no problem with that. Believers of Jesus Christ always celebrate life as we live forever through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We do not change the identity of our children that God has given them with costumes for candy.   1 John 5:11 KJV  “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”

Isaiah 9:6 KJV “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

In addition, there are reports of attempts to change the Bible to erase Jesus Christ. They did it in China in 2023.  This movement is being introduced to Christians in the US slowly through teachings and practices in Christian churches. I don’t think this movement is going  too well because of our faithfulness.  Therefore, Christian bibles are being published as King James that are not on the foundation of the King James Bible  nor the teachings of Jesus Christ. 

These works are using terms to replace the name of Jesus and to place names above the name of Jesus. The names may be in the bible “Old Testament” but when Jesus arrived. That changed. Today, These are praise and descriptive names of Jesus Christ. The new teachings claim these names are replacement names for Jesus Christ. Please be aware of your reading material and evaluate its credibility.  Yes, its getting deep out here.

Philippians 2:9 KJV  “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:”

On YouTube, TikTok, and other video social media platforms, false prophets claim to hear a message from the Lord to give to the public everyday, reading from the Bible, and announcing curses and death. They are prophesying by Baal (demons). Be careful.

Jeremiah 23:13 KJV “And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.”

Many Satan worshippers that converted to Christianity personal agendas or assignment read like a business marketing plan. The Lord’s most faithful followers are not found in clubs, sex joints, and bars. Trust this, some Christians may doubt who God is, but these people know exactly who Jesus is but have made covenants with Satan and demons for personal gain.

When The Lord returns, the church and his saints are whom he is coming to rule over with peace and righteousness.

Romans 14:17 KJV  “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

As Christians, we are called to be like-minded, as stated in Philippians 2:1-5. We should have the same love, be of one accord, and of one mind. This unity is crucial, especially during times of spiritual warfare and physical warfare, for a house divided against itself cannot stand. Criminal gangs understand the strength in loyalty, and Satan does not divide himself. Therefore, we must be vigilant and test the spirits.

It is concerning to hear reports of ex-witches and devil worshippers who have become Christian leaders, pastors and teachers. While we believe in the power of repentance and acceptance by God, we must also remember that Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14 KJV). Therefore, it is important to handle such individuals with caution and discernment.  Always pray to God in Jesus name about people who enter into your life and loved ones life on all levels.

(2 Corinthians 11:14-13KJV) ¹³For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. ¹⁵Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Matthew 15:14 KJV  “Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
