“(For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.” — Deuteronomy 4:31 (KJV)
Evil Days Require a Praying Church
Have you noticed how darkness seems to be creeping into our neighborhoods—even the ones filled with churches on every corner? It’s unsettling to see good communities shaken by fear, confusion, and spiritual attacks that often go unnoticed. Many believers are praying less and worrying more, leaving open doors for evil to enter.
Yet God has already given us the solution: prayer, obedience, and the assurance that He will never forsake us (Deuteronomy 4:31 KJV). When the world grows darker, our light must grow brighter. Are we doing enough to keep our homes and communities covered in prayer? Let’s talk about it.

Even in the Bible Belt, where churches sit side by side, witch covenants, unholy alliances, and false religions are quietly setting up camp. Legally, they may build—but spiritually, they are trespassing on ground meant for God’s glory. This is why we must pray for the church, so the church can influence the community with righteousness.
We are not called to fear but to stand. For Jesus said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” (John 10:10 KJV). But our Lord promises never to forsake us—He is still the defender of those who call upon His name.
A Personal Testimony of Protection
A few weeks ago, I stopped by the grocery store on a quiet afternoon. As I walked through the aisles, an uneasy feeling settled in my spirit. A tall man kept circling the store, phone in hand, snapping pictures—his eyes focused on people, not the shelves.
When I reached the checkout line, he appeared again—this time with a woman who began moving in strange, low, rhythmic motions behind me. The sight jolted my memory.
I’d seen something similar once at a gym, where a man did the same unsettling motions behind a young girl on a treadmill. She did not see him. When a few of us noticed and stood together, he quickly left. One of the girls told us, “He comes here often. He is a certified warlock.” That day in the grocery store, it became clear—this wasn’t random. It was witchcraft in disguise, an open attempt to stir unholy spirits in public.
Quietly, I whispered, “I plead the blood of Jesus, the blood of the lamb of God.” Immediately, she stopped and stepped back. I checked out quickly and left. A few days later, while cleaning my purse, I found an AirTag—one of those tiny tracking GPS devices people use to locate items or people. People are growing bolder in these dark times. I know that she did that.
The dancing lady slipped it in my purse without my knowledge. Thankfully, it didn’t work. But I was reminded how technology can now be used as a tool of evil—monitoring, tracing, and even recording.
Yet, through it all, God did not forsake me. The same God who shut the lion’s mouths for Daniel and confused the enemies of Israel, protected me that day. I was reminded that no device, no scheme, and no power of darkness can overcome the covering of Jesus Christ. That is why the device did not work. Of course, I will not go back to those areas of town as they seem popular with that crowd. Those spirits are territorial. They take over neighborhoods. They may come but they won’t be able to stay if the Spirit of God is there. So don’t stay at home on Sunday morning, pray and praise God so the enemy will flee. Resist the devil and he must flee.
James 4:7 KJV “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Several companies are making these GPS tags with the ability to record audio and are offering online (social media) for less than $4 dollars.
Personally, I think these items should be outlawed. They are not needed. People put them in ladies and men bags at clubs and follow them home, in school aged children book bags to kidnap them and people cars whom they think may have money to rob, investigate or black mail them.

A Call to Spiritual Awareness
We must pray over our homes, schools, and neighborhoods. Evil works through technology, temptation, and distraction—but prayer works faster. Plea the blood of Jesus over your homes, loved ones and teach children to pray for discernment and protection. Join hands with neighbors, believers, and churches to build a wall of intercession for the community and church. Pray against monitoring unholy spirits and technology.
If we want safe neighborhoods, we must live in obedience and repent our sins. We must pray, praise God, and fellowship together. The church is the neighbor next door—a spiritual network that should watch, warn, and lift up the community through love and truth. Time and distance are not barriers to God’s powers. What is too hard for man is not too hard for God:
Matthew 19:26 KJV “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” We have spiritual help but must enable it to protect us.
Matthew 10:16 KJV “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.”
