Hello Tuth Seekers and Believers in Jesus Christ,

I am sitting here with my coffee,  thnking about how important my devotion time is each day, allowing God to lead.  Sometimes my devotion time is an hour sometimes its 4 or 5 hours. Once in communion with the Lord, its the holy spirit that will determine the rest.   He is the perfect worshipper of God and knows all things. My blog subjects come from my devotion time.

This morning, I held my Bible to my chest and said out loud, “This is my Bible. I believe what it says. It teaches, corrects, and trains me in righteousness. I am who God says I am. I am saved. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I belong to a royal priesthood, a holy nation. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Speak, Lord—Your servant is listening.” Then I opened to Romans 16:17–20 (KJV). Let’s talk about it.

Romans 16:17-20 KJV  17Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. 19For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. 20And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

As of today (October 1, 2025), the federal government has entered a shutdown because Congress did not pass a funding bill. Some services pause, many workers are furloughed, and families feel stress. But our Source is still the Lord. He has not shut down.

Friend, many people are hurting—jobs lost, protests rising, and some neighbors still not “at the table.” We respect our leaders, but the Lord is our Source.

I remember this story, God Provides When There Seems No Way (1 Kings 17:8–16)

When the land was dry and the sun was hot, God sent Elijah to a widow in Zarephath (1 Kings 17:8–16, KJV). She had only a handful of meal and a little oil. She was gathering sticks to cook a last small cake for herself and her son. Elijah said, “Fear not… make me thereof a little cake first,” and promised that God would keep the barrel of meal and the cruse of oil from running out. She obeyed by faith. Day after day, the meal and oil were still there. God provided in a hard season.

Here is the truth for us: it can be scorching all around you, but it shall not touch you.  Psalms 91:7 KJV  “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.”

God covers His people. Like the widow, you may feel there is “no way out,” yet the Lord makes a way (Isaiah 43:2; Psalm 37:25). He does this in two simple steps—obedience and trust. The widow obeyed a hard instruction and trusted God’s word. Then provision flowed.

God’s pattern still stands:

  • God speaks. He told Elijah where to go and who would help.

  • We respond. The widow gave first, even when it was small.

  • God sustains. The supply did not fail until the drought ended.

Do not worry. Your Father knows what you need (Matthew 6:31–33 KJV). “Fear not” was Elijah’s first word to the widow (1 Kings 17:13 KJV). Be wise about good, simple about evil, and keep your eyes on the Lord (Romans 16:19). He turns things around in His time. What looks empty to you may be full in God’s hands. He can stretch what you have, open doors you cannot see, and send help from places you did not expect. Trust Him. Do the next right thing. Speak life over your home. In Jesus’ name, the oil will not fail.

How we walk this out today (simple steps):

  1. Pray, Repent, and Praise daily. Ask for wisdom, work, and favor.

  2. Open the Word. Read Romans 16 and Psalm 37.

  3. Do the good you can. Be wise about good—help a neighbor, share food, encourage someone. so your father may forgive you.

  4. Trust God as Source. Jobs and programs change;  Friend, even in a shutdown, heaven is open. The God of peace is with you, and He will provide.

Reflection Question:  Comment Below.  Where is God asking you to obey first in your life and trust Him with the rest?

A CALL TO SALVATION:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 10:9-10  9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.

John 3:5-6  5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
