Many times believers give to people and say “God Bless” but we should define who we believe in so people will know who blessed them.  Then through Jesus Christ, God receives the honor, glory, and praise. This is how believers convert unbelievers or restore faith in believers.  This is service.  If you are nice and give without giving honor to God, you are just giving.  Evil people give as well. If you offer in the name of Jesus and it is refused, then walk away with your offer.  They could be “stranger danger with strange fire”. 

Just imagine this scenario, A person is depressed because they think God forgot them, they ask you for money for food and you give them $100. You say ” I give you this in the name of Jesus Christ.”  They are going to thank you and Jesus Christ. Their spirits will be lifted to know that God is still with them.  They will pray to him. If they were not saved, they are now saved. You have brought fruit to the kingdom with service. That is truly a blessing to the receiver and the giver. So next time you give of your time, money, or resources, give in the name of Jesus.

Matthew 10:14 “And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”

James 5:20  ¹⁹Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; ²⁰Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
