ePrayer Room: ePrayer asking God to Guard Our Conversations That They May Be Pleasing To Him
I pray today that You would guard my conversations.
Help me to be mindful of my words and to use my tongue to build up others, not tear them down.
It is written: Psalm 141:3-4 Set a guard over my mouth,
Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil
or to plan wicked deeds with others who do wrong; let me not taste their delicacies.
I know that my words can have a powerful impact on others,
and I want to use them wisely. I want to speak words of love, encouragement, and truth.
I pray that You would help me to bite my tongue when I feel the urge to say something hurtful.
Help me to think about the impact of my words before I speak.
It is written, Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth,
but what is good for building up as the need may be, so that it will give grace to those who hear.
Also, Lord Help me to be a good listener, and to be genuinely interested in what others have to say.
Help me to ask thoughtful questions and to avoid interrupting.
I pray that You would help me to be humble and to admit when I am wrong.
Help me to be quick to forgive and to reconcile with others.
I pray that You will use my conversations to bring glory to You.
Help me to be a witness for You in the world and to share Your love with others.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
