Happy First Day of Spring March 20, 2025
Romans 8:1 KJV “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”
Somewhere along the way, someone started a rumor that Easter is a pagan holiday. And like most rumors, it spread faster than a toddler with a marker in a white-carpeted house! But let’s set the record straight: Easter is about Jesus. Period.
Yes, the world has thrown in some bunnies, eggs, and enough chocolate to make a dentist rich—but that doesn’t change the true meaning of Easter: the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the foundation of our faith!

Real-World Example: The Birthday Hijacking
Imagine it’s your birthday, and you walk into your own party only to find out that someone has changed the theme to celebrate their cat’s adoption anniversary. The decorations? Cat balloons. The cake? Shaped like a litter box. The guests? All wearing cat ears.
You’d probably be like, “Wait a minute… wasn’t this supposed to be about ME?”
That’s exactly what happened with Easter. The world took Jesus’ resurrection and tried to rebrand it with cute bunnies and candy eggs. But just because some folks are confused doesn’t mean we have to be. Easter is about Jesus conquering sin and death, not about finding the golden egg. Even though, the kids enjoy it.
Psalms 92:15 KJV “To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.”

Bible Example: The Pharisees Tried to Twist the Truth
The religious leaders of Jesus’ time spread false stories to stop people from believing in His resurrection. Matthew 28:12-15 (KJV) tells us that after Jesus rose from the dead, the chief priests paid off the Roman guards to lie and say that His disciples stole the body.
Just like today, people twist the truth about Easter. But the fact remains—Jesus is alive, and we celebrate His resurrection!
No Condemnation in Jesus Christ!
If you’ve ever heard someone say, “If you celebrate Easter, you’re worshiping false gods!”—don’t believe the lie. Romans 8:1 reminds us that in Christ, there is NO condemnation. Celebrating His resurrection with joy, gratitude, and even a good meal is not sinful—it’s scriptural!
So go ahead and enjoy Easter. Rejoice, because the tomb is still empty!
Reflection Question:
How can you keep Jesus at the center of your Easter celebration?

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
