Chapter 17: This prayer expresses Jesus Christ’s desire for all disciples and believers. It is really moving. Jesus knew and knows God’s perfect timing. He foretells that the Pharisees will soon be there to capture him to crucify him. He states the hour has come. He prays a final prayer to the Father for his disciples and believers. He expresses that he will soon have completed the work that God has sent him to do. Which is offering salvation, repentance of sins with remittance, hope, love, truth, and eternal life by his name (Jesus Christ) and his holy blood (sacrifice) to all who believe in his name and word. His word is truth.
Chapter 18: This chapter describes the capturing of Jesus and the events that led up to his crucifixion. Jesus is captured and judged to die by crucifixion on the Friday of the Passover. Jesus’ disciple, Judas, betrayed Jesus’ location and identified him to his enemies with a kiss. Jesus’ disciple Peter denies him three times. Jesus knows in advance all things that are to happen to him. He states he came to witness to the truth and every one of the truth hears his voice.
Note: These two chapters reveal that Jesus is predestine and knows the future. Jesus knows all about betrayal. Jesus experience all of the human experiences of emotional hurt and pain.

CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is the Spirit. (Get Baptized)
