Stress often feels like an unavoidable part of life. However, the Bible gives us a clear path to live without it. Isaiah 26:3 (KJV) provides a comforting promise: “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee.”

This verse reveals the secret to experiencing lasting peace. It doesn’t depend on circumstances but on where our minds are focused. When we consistently turn our thoughts toward God, trusting Him in all things, He stabilizes our emotions and calms our hearts. This peace is beyond human understanding—it is God’s perfect peace.

Trusting God means surrendering control and believing He will provide, protect, and guide. When we try to handle everything ourselves, stress quickly takes over. But when we lean on God and meditate on His Word, He replaces our anxiety with His assurance.  When experiencing anxiety and emotional turmoil, remember it is not of God. It is a stronghold that you must release.

Repeat these scriptures to take control of your thoughts and to release strongholds.

James 4:7 KJV “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”  I resist the devil now he must flee and leave nothing behind and do not return

7. Take Breaks and Rest
   Honor God’s command to rest by taking time to recharge physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Rest reminds us that we are human and that God is our source of strength.
8. Seek Godly Community
   Surround yourself with other believers who can encourage you, pray for you, and hold you accountable to staying focused on God.
9. Pray Specifically and Persistently
   Bring your specific concerns to God and persist in prayer. Trust that His timing and answers are always best.
10. Serve Others
    Stress often shrinks when we focus on helping others. Find ways to serve within your church or community, trusting that God will meet your needs as you meet others’.

These steps, when practiced consistently, can help you stay anchored in God’s peace and experience freedom from stress.
