Daily Word: Gaslighting and Habitual Liars – Believe What You See, Hear and Your Own Experiences
In today’s world, it’s easy to get confused. With so much information coming from different sources, how do we know what to believe? Politicians, the media, and even advanced technology like
AI can make us question our own thoughts and experiences. This is called gaslighting, a form of emotional abuse where someone tries to make you doubt what you know is true.

Gaslighting can make you second-guess yourself. It can make you question your memories and even your own judgment. But as Christians, we must stand firm in the truth. The Bible warns us about those who spread lies and deceit
In John 8:44 (KJV), Jesus speaks about the devil, saying, “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
This scripture reminds us that the devil is the source of all lies. When people lie to us, whether it’s through the media, politicians, or even those close to us, they are following in the footsteps of the devil. But we don’t have to fall into their trap.

To protect ourselves, we must pray for the spirit of discernment—the ability to judge what is true and what is false. The Holy Spirit guides us in understanding the truth and helps us make decisions based on solid evidence. When we rely on the Holy Spirit, we can trust our own experiences and thoughts.
Remember, gaslighting is just another trick of the enemy. Don’t let anyone make you doubt what you know is true. Trust in God’s guidance, believe in the truth, and stand firm in your faith. By doing so, you will be able to see through the lies and stay on the path that God has set for you.
Reflective Question: How can you strengthen your faith and discernment to stand firm in the truth, even when others try to make you doubt your experiences?
