COMMUNION SCRIPT: The Last Supper 1 Corinthians 11: 23-31 KJV
COMMUNION -The Last Supper 1 Corinthians 11: 23-31 KJV
Communion is more than just a tradition—it is a sacred act of unity with Jesus Christ. While Jesus ordained communion in remembrance of Him and the finished work of the cross, it also carries deep spiritual meaning for every believer. When we take the bread and the cup, we are not only remembering Jesus’ suffering and crucifixion—we are spiritually partaking in it.
Just as baptism symbolizes our participation in Jesus’ burial and resurrection, communion symbolizes our oneness with His sacrifice. It reminds us that Jesus is in us, and we are in Him. Sadly, some modern churches have started drifting away from communion, following trends that point toward a global religion that seeks a nameless god and removes the power of the cross.
Believers must be careful. Communion is personal, holy, and vital—it keeps us grounded in the truth that Jesus died for our sins, rose again, and lives in us today.
23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.
27Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
30For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

27And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
