You hang out with people who cuss, clown, gossip, and drag you into foolishness, and then wonder why your peace is missing and your blessings are delayed. 💨

News flash: Who you hang with affects your walk with Christ.

📖 Bible Story Example – Samson Should’ve Swiped Left

In Judges 16, Samson kept falling for women who didn’t follow God. Especially Delilah—who literally tried to trap him… multiple times!

Did he listen? Nope. He chilled with her, shared secrets, and boom—he got a haircut and a heartbreak. 👀 She betrayed him to his enemies.

The strongest man was captured and eventually was led to his death.  His secret to his strength was in his hair.  She cut it while he slept.

Had Samson walked with the wise instead of the wild, he may have kept his strength AND his destiny.

🌍 Real World Example – From Gossip Crew to Gospel Crew

Monique used to hang out with “the tea squad”—they gossiped every day, talked trash, and skipped church to brunch. Her spirit stayed heavy. 

Some people will say, I don’t do everything they do.  Eventually you will because you are walking in agreement.  They will ask you to do a favor and they will not ask again. Satan is sneaky.

Your friends may change but don’t risk your soul on that.  If they do, check with them later. No need to fall out.  It does not matter how long you have known them.   

One Monique, joined a women’s Bible group. They prayed, supported each other, and didn’t care about drama. Within weeks, her joy returned—and so did her purpose.

She said goodbye to mess and hello to meaning.  Remember, you are not better than anyone but not lower than some. 

Who you walk with shapes your future—choose companions who walk with Christ.
