Can Evil People Curse from Afar? Another Country or State? From a biblical perspective, yes—evil people, including witches, sorcerers, and those practicing occult powers, aliens etc… may attempt to curse or send harm to others, even from far away even though they are territorial. The Bible makes it clear that there are spiritual forces of darkness at work in the world:

So spiritually, distance doesn’t limit evil influence because they work in networks and are territorial. They are not all omni-present as God  nor are they omni-potent (everywhere at the same time and all powerful) 

Satan cannot be everywhere at the same time, and his powers are limited.  Did you know you have all power over evil?

Mark 5:9 KJV  “And he (Jesus) asked him, what is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.”

The Bible tells us that devils can operate in legions— (5000) working together (Mark 5:9 KJV). Their greatest strength lies not in individual power, but in their network—much like organized criminals.

Picture this: if a witch in New York casts a curse, she cannot act alone. That curse must move through a demonic spirit. Because spirits are territorial, one spirit will hand the command to another until it reaches the intended target.

The devil and his servants attempt to project attacks in this way—through curses, spells, altars (rituals), or covenants (agreements with Satan)—even across states or nations.

Think about it in modern terms. When someone spreads a false rumor online, it doesn’t take long before it travels around the globe. Why? Because the internet is a network—and networks can be used for good or evil.

That is why believers must be careful never to help Satan by spreading lies, gossip, or exposing the faults of others. We are not called to uncover our brothers’ and sisters’ nakedness, but to walk in righteousness and truth.

Consider also how a vengeful person in Australia could order a contract for murder through a network to strike someone in Alaska. However, an undercover policeman or woman reveals the plot and makes an arrest. The contract is not fulfilled- a person life is saved. Evil travels through systems, but systems cannot outmatch God. God uses his people, spirit and angels to break networks and attacks. 

Yes, evil people may try to curse from afar—but their power is nothing compared to the covering of God over His children. For the Word declares that what is hidden in darkness will always come to the light.

 

Remember – this is crucial—God’s power is greater than any curse. Scripture repeatedly shows that God protects His children when they remain in Him:

Luke 10:19 KJV  “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Revelation 12:11 KJV  “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

God does not want you to be so afraid you will not fight by prophesizing and praying against evil.  Fear paralyzes people. We fear God only.  Many are overcome because they give in to Satan out of fear.  

Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

When you remain close to God:  No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” —Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)

Jeremiah 30:16  KJV  “Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey.”

What This Means:

Yes, curses can be spoken or attempted from afar, but they have no lasting power over a believer who is covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Evil spirits, aliens are not given power over man on earth. Therefore, they are trespassing. You have the power to fast and pray.

Recent news state that a UFO object or alien craft with weapons the size of a state is on its way to earth in November.  Pray against it and it will not land.  Pray without ceasing. God meant for man to be dominant over earth. Anything else is trespassing and not allowed if it is not of God.

Curses only gain foothold if there is open sin, fear, or agreement with darkness. That’s why repentance, prayer, praise and faith are so important.

In addition, baptism- symbolism of believers partaking in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. and partaking in Communion (Last Supper) – Ritual committing to Christ in you and you are in Christ are very important. 

The solution is not fear but standing firm in Christ using the two-edge sword of God (The Word-Scripture), knowing that “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4 KJV). 

Hosea 4:6 KJV  My people perish for lack of knowledge.  “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.”

Protection Steps:

Pray daily and plead the blood of Jesus over yourself and your household.

Live righteously, repenting of sins that give the enemy legal ground.

Speak God’s Word out loud—it cancels and reverses curses.

👉 In short: Evil people or spirits may try to curse from afar, but their power is nothing compared to the covering of God over His children.

 

Reflection Question:
When you face trials or hear negative words spoken against you, how can you remind yourself that God’s promise of protection is greater than any attack of the enemy?

 

 

 

Prayer of Protection and Victory in Christ

Heavenly Father,
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I come before You with thanksgiving and repentance of my sins. You are my refuge, my shield, and my strong tower. I stand on Your promise, it is written, that no weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 KJV).

Lord, I ask that You cover me, my family, and my home with the precious blood of Jesus. I cancel and break every curse, spell, or evil word spoken against us, whether near or far. For it is written: 

I reject fear and choose faith, because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Every evil plan sent against me is turned back in confusion. I walk in the light and freedom of Jesus Christ, my Savior.

By the authority of Jesus Christ, and the blood of the lamb of God, I overcome all evil works of monitoring spirits, technology misused for harm, astral projection, mind reading and telekinesis trespasses not of God. With the sword of the Spirit, I cut the silver cord of the enemy so they can never return to hurt anyone or leave anything behind.

Holy Spirit, fill me with peace and guide my steps. Strengthen me to walk in holiness so that the enemy finds no place in me. I receive Your protection, Your blessings, and Your victory today for me, my family and home.
