Hello Truth Seekers and Believers,
This is Holy Week, and I want to speak from my heart.
I have been fasting from solid foods, singing praise songs, and spending time in prayer. At the same time, I have been watching the news—wars, unrest, confusion, and division.
Some of it is about laws, and some of it just seems like chaos. Some people tell me they just stay in the house.
I asked God- out loud. Are we living in the Twightlight Zone?
Later. I found myself asking a simple but deep question: Where is the line between self-preservation rooted in fear and self-preservation guided by faith?
When do we step into isolation because of wisdom—and when are we stepping into that self preservation mode because of fear?
He heard and answered through his word. My devotion this morning lead me to the Book of Ephesians.
Let’s talk about it.
I learned in a psychology class that social psychology confirms that group identity (race, nationality, status, etc..) can intensify hostility.
I learned from the Holy Spirit of God through the Word that when individuals share a higher identity, conflict reduces. For believers, that higher identity is Christ.
The world is full of division—race, nation, power, and identity. History shows us that people often try to place themselves above others. But the Word of God gives us a higher truth:
Galatians 3:28–29 (KJV) “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free… for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.”
In Christ, there is no superior race—only one family.

I remember sitting in a small training class once. A young man shared that he had done harmful things in his past.
Things like blow up a whole row of cars in a parking lot.
No questions were asked. Everyone just started laughing. What!!
Later, he interrupted my conversation and a co-worker (women and. said something that stayed with me:
“When a person thinks they are better than you, they will do anything.”
That statement opened my eyes. It startled me, especially coming from a man.
At the time, I didn’t realize he was speaking from a place of addiction.
Later, he admitted it to our group after we had noticed too many strange behaviors.
Sometimes people act out of pain, pride, or brokenness.
Other times, they are simply testing how far they can go.
That is why I live by this: I will forgive, but I will also guard my peace.
I don’t always know what spirit I am dealing with, or the depth of a person’s character issues and their limits.
Grown people do not go around hurting and disrespecting others without accountability.
When they do, there is usually a deeper history or motive behind it.

Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
The Bible teaches us two things at the same time:
- Forgive, or we will not be forgiven (Matthew 6:14–15 KJV)
- But also use wisdom and avoid those who refuse to change (Proverbs 22:24–25 KJV)
Jesus even warned us:
Matthew 10:16 (KJV)
“Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves…”
So yes, we love. Yes, we forgive. But we also discern.
There are people who say they repent but continue harmful patterns. Stealing, lying, separating, etc.
That is not true change—that is behavior without transformation. And we must be honest about that.
Still, our foundation is not fear—it is Christ.
Colossians 1:20 (KJV)
“And, having made peace through the blood of his cross…”
Peace is not something we create on our own. Jesus declared peace through His sacrifice.
From a psychological view, people divide when they build identity on race, status, or culture. But when identity rises higher, conflict begins to fall.
God showed me this truth:
When we share a higher identity in Christ, unity becomes possible.
Ephesians 2:14 (KJV) “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us.”
Jesus didn’t just forgive us—He created one new people.
But let’s be real for a moment.
Sometimes fear is not imagined—it is real.

There are moments when danger is present, and action is necessary. Even Jesus told His disciples to be prepared:
Luke 22:36 (KJV) “…he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.”
Faith does not mean ignoring danger. Faith means walking with God through it—with wisdom.
So here is the balance:
- Love your enemies (Matthew 5:44)
- Pray for those who hurt you
- Forgive quickly
- But if there is no repentance, step back with wisdom
Because not everyone is walking with God.
John 7:7 KJV “The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.”
Walls are built when fear replaces faith. But sometimes distance is not fear—it is protection guided by God.
Nations must also be led by God. Leaders are responsible for seeking Him. When nations turn away from God, at the appointed time, he will not permitt them to stand.
Psalm 33:12 (KJV)
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…”
God still holds the final authority.
He is the King of Kings.
In Paul’s time, there was a physical wall in the temple separating people. But Jesus tore that wall down.
Reconciliation is not just emotional—it is spiritual.
Romans 5:1 (KJV)
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Jesus did not negotiate peace.
He declared it.
🤔🤔🤔Now the question is—will we receive it, and will we walk in it?
✔️✔️✔️Reflection Question – Comment below.
Are you protecting your peace with wisdom, or building walls out of fear?
What “wall” have you accepted that Christ already tore down?
What are some ways you protect your peace?
