1 Peter 1:13 – 1:16 KJV  13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;  16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

 

Psalms 51:1 – 51:2 KJV  Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.  2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

 

Words are powerful. The Bible teaches that what is in the heart comes out of the mouth. Our speech reveals our thinking, our faith, and our direction. Psychology agrees—our words shape our beliefs, emotions, and actions. Over time, what we speak becomes what we expect, and what we expect often becomes what we live.

This 6-Day Speaking Life Challenge is designed to help you retrain your mind and elevate your future through intentional, Scripture-based speech. Research shows that successful people practice disciplined language in their communication skills. 

They take classes and even read books to improve. I remember being in one of those classes when working in corporate and they tell you.  “You can’t have a bad day.”

You have to be on point with communication at all times especially if you are a manager or supervisor.  You cannot come in to work and say something ugly or mean because you are having a bad day.  Its takes discipline and training to do that.  Well, I think in heaven it is the same way. 

Can you image angels having a bad day?  and it is your turn for his visitation?   As believers, we go further—we allow the Holy Spirit to guide our words so they line up with God’s truth.

Speaking life does not happen by accident. It takes effort, faith, and awareness. You will practice speaking Scripture on purpose, one focused action each day.

How the Challenge Works (Rules and Daily Focus)

Challenge Rules

• Speak Scripture out loud or in writing each day

• You may talk, text, comment, or message

• No social media speaking as part of the challenge, except inviting others

• Sharing the post is encouraged, but it does not count as the daily assignment

• One intentional act per day—simple and focused

This challenge begins Tuesday and ends with Praise Sunday.
Your words matter regardless of your age. Your future is listening.

 

Monday (today) — Preparation Day 

Focus: Prayer and readiness

• Pray The Lord’s Prayer slowly and with intention

• Ask God to guard your mouth and renew your mind

• Prepare your heart for the week

   

 

Tuesday — Speak With Discipline

Focus: Controlled, intentional speech

• Speak Scripture to one person (talk, text, or message)

• Scripture: Matthew 12:37

• Learn to pause before speaking and choose words wise

   

 

Wednesday — Speak Encouragement

Focus: Building others up

• Speak encouragement over one person

• Scripture: Psalm 118:24

• Use words that lift, strengthen, and bring hope

   

 

Thursday — Speak a Blessing

Focus: Releasing God’s favor

• Bless one person using Scripture

• Scripture: Numbers 6:24

• Bless freely, without conditions

 

Friday — Speak to Yourself

Focus: Renewing your own mind

• Speak Scripture over yourself

• Scripture: Deuteronomy 31:8

• Replace fear and doubt with God’s promises 

   

 

Saturday — Speak Praise

Focus: Worship through words

• Bless the Lord throughout the day

• Scripture: Psalm 34:1

• Let praise stay in your mouth

   

 

Sunday — Praise Sunday Celebration

Focus: Thanksgiving and reflection

• Read or listen to Psalm 111–118

• Celebrate finishing the challenge with a praise song

• Reflect on how your speech has changed
