“Who Am I Really?”—Many feel lost trying to fit into social labels.

John 1:12 KJV “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.” → Accept Christ to know who you are.

Finding Who You Truly Are;

Today, many people try to restart their lives by changing their names, moving to new places, or adopting new online identities. They hope that by letting go of their old labels, they can finally live free from their past mistakes or pain.

While this can bring a sense of relief for a time, true freedom doesn’t come from changing what others call you—it comes from knowing who God says you are. A new name or address may help you escape old memories, but only Christ can give you a new heart and a lasting identity.

1 Peter 2:9  KJV  “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”

In a world filled with social media profiles, job titles, and shifting opinions, it’s easy to lose sight of who we really are. Many people spend years trying to fit into roles designed by others—parent, worker, influencer, friend—yet still feel empty inside.

1 Samuel 16:7  KJV  “But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”

The truth is, no label can define you better than God’s Word. Your true identity begins not in what the world says, but in who Christ declares you to be.

When you accept Jesus as your Savior, you are no longer defined by your past, mistakes, or limitations. You are reborn into a royal family. God doesn’t just call you forgiven—He calls you His child. Through Christ, you gain access to divine power, peace, and purpose. That is the identity that never fades or changes.

Ephesians 2: 6-10 KJV  6And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace 10in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Bible Example: Saul Becomes Paul

Saul, once known for persecuting Christians, found his real identity only after encountering Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 9 KJV). His old name represented judgment and pride; his new name, Paul, reflected humility and grace. In Christ, his identity transformed—and so can yours.

Real-World Example

Think about someone who leaves behind an unhealthy lifestyle to walk in faith. At first, they may still feel unsure or unworthy. But as they study God’s Word and walk in obedience, confidence replaces confusion. They begin to see themselves as God sees them—chosen, loved, and equipped for good works.

Romans 8:38-39 KJV   38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Deuteronomy 28:13  KJV  “And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:”
