Hello Truth Seekers,
In a world where connections are just a click away, the lines between friendship, dating, and spiritual alignment often blur. As believers, it’s crucial to navigate these relationships with discernment, ensuring they align with our faith and values. :et’s talk about it.
Proverbs 22:24-27 KJV 24Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:25Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul. 26Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts. 27If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?

Sometimes, when riding around Atlanta and Metro Atlanta for reason or another, I love to see the many ironic signs. In Decatur, there were detours for a festival and I pass by this sign at a church. I searched the quote and it was written by Martin Luther King. I redesigned and quoted exactly to share with you. It sums up so much. See below.
This verse reminds us that our closest relationships should be with those who share our commitment to Christ. When we form deep bonds with individuals who don’t share our faith, we risk compromising our spiritual well-being.
“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” — Amos 3:3 KJV
“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”
— 2 Corinthians 6:14 KJV- “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” — Proverbs 13:20 KJV
“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” — 1 Corinthians 15:33 KJV
These scriptures emphasize the importance of surrounding ourselves with individuals who uplift and encourage our walk with God.

The Reality of Unequally Yoked Relationships:
Statistics reveal the dangers of forming close relationships without spiritual discernment:
Each year, nearly 10 million women and men become victims of domestic violence in the U.S.
Every minute, about 20 people are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States.
Children are often the silent victims, with many witnessing domestic violence or becoming orphans due to fatal domestic disputes. AP News+4Dolan + Zimmerman LLP+4CAWC+4
Legal Protections:
To combat these issues, various legal measures are in place:
Restraining Orders: In Georgia, victims can obtain temporary ex parte orders and long-term protective orders against abusers.
Stalking Laws: Laws prohibit stalkers from contacting or approaching their victims, with violations leading to severe penalties.
💬 The Best Advice? Prevent It Early.
The best help is prevention. Be prayerfully selective about who you date. Make sure they are truly walking with God—not just using religious language.🔍 Do your homework.
- Ask real questions about their past.
- Meet their family and friends—watch, don’t just listen.
Many times, you’ll learn more by observing the people they surround themselves with than by what they say.
You may think someone is firm and focused, only to later find out they’re just stubborn and selfish—and it runs in the family.
You may think someone is expressive and bold, but later realize they always have to win every argument—and they’ve been that way since childhood.Discernment comes from watching, listening, and asking God for clarity before you invest your heart.Remember, aligning your relationships with your faith isn’t just about avoiding harm—it’s about embracing the fullness of life that God intends for you.
Reflection Question:
Are my relationships drawing me closer to God or pulling me away from Him?

A CALL TO SALVATION:
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 10:9-10 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.
John 3:5-6 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7
